Tyres & More Does More for Families Around Australia
Tyres & More recently celebrated their new unique association with Playgroup Australia, Australia’s largest family group, at the World’s Biggest Playgroup Day. A nationwide event to promote “Learning through Play” amongst thousands of Playgroup parents and kids, at hundreds of events, on the one day, all around the country.
To celebrate 35 years of playgroup, Playgroup Queensland was granted permission to host an event within Parliament House.
“It’s terrific to see children crawling all over the speakers green, this is real life and this is what’s really important” said Queensland Premier, Anna Bligh “A big congratulations to Tyres & More on being a part of this, this is the family of the future.”
Children were treated to a performance by Humphrey B Bear and the Wakka Wakka Aboriginal Dancers whilst free gifts were handed out, including Tyres & More drink bottles filled with jelly beans. The real hit on the day amongst parents was the support and advice available at the Tyres & More stand.
“I am entirely comfortable for Playgroup Australia to be involved with Tyres & More, it’s a strong brand with integrity” said Playgroup Queensland CEO Mark Brooke. “At first glance you think tyres and playgroup, where is the connection, but it makes perfect sense….I meet few parents who don’t want their kids to be safe and at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about.”
