4x4 Suspension

At Tyres & More, we partner with EFS, the Australian 4WD specialists and part suppliers, to bring you suspension as rugged as the country it’s made for.

EFS is a family-run business that’s been perfecting 4WD suspension since 1962. They’ve earned a reputation for tough, reliable gear – from 4x4 suspension setups to accessories like winches, awnings, air compressors and more.

Any Tyres & More store that does mechanical work can fit EFS shock absorber upgrades and 4WD lift kits. Some are also certified to do GVM upgrades.

Give your local Tyres & More a buzz to check what they can do for you.

EFS Suspension Kits

Every EFS kit is tailored to your vehicle – with springs, shocks and components designed to give you more control, more durability, and more performance than standard suspension systems

The springs are matched to your vehicle’s weight and your preferred ride height. For example, if the front of your 4WD is weighed down by a heavy bull bar or canopy, you'll probably need heavier front springs to achieve a two-inch lift.

EFS Raised Suspension & Lift Kits

Want more height, more clearance, more go-anywhere freedom?

EFS 4x4 lift kits don’t just make your beast look beautiful – they improve approach and departure angles and give you the extra clearance you need to protect your undercarriage and take on rocks, mud, and rough tracks with ease.

If you’re serious about off-roading, this upgrade gives you more height, more confidence, and way fewer “oops” moments out on the trail.

Check out the EFS Shock Absorber Range

Enforcer: A great entry-level, all-rounder with a 32mm piston for reliable performance.

Elite: One up on OG equipment. Perfect for off-roaders, with a larger 35mm piston that means more oil, less overheating, and less shock fade on long, corrugated tracks.

XTR: Designed for heavy-duty towing and serious off-roading, with a large shock body for more oil volume and a 40mm piston. If you’re tackling outback tracks, where heat and endless corrugations test your suspension, a 40mm piston or larger is the way to go.

X-Treme: With a massive 45mm piston, this bad boy is your go-to for extreme off-road action and heavy-duty towing.

MRP 2.5: This top-of-the-line, fully adjustable shock absorber comes with a remote reservoir and lets you fine-tune your ride to suit the terrain. No more “one-size-fits-all” setups. Dial it in for smooth highway cruising, then tweak it for off-road action when you hit the dirt. More control, more comfort, and a whole lot more fun wherever you’re headed.

EFS 4x4 Springs – Strength where it counts

EFS and its parent company, Carrolls Suspension Solutions, are spring design, development and manufacturing legends.

EFS Coil Springs are made from premium spring steel that meets international ISO-9002 standards – so you know they’re built tough and built right. With a wide range to choose from, you can pick the perfect setup for your 4WD’s weight and the kind of suspension flex you want out on (or off) the road.

EFS Leaf Springs are crafted from high-quality Japanese-grade SUP9 and SUP9A alloyed carbon spring steel. You can choose springs tuned for comfort or for carrying heavier loads. Clever design features such as tapered leaf ends, bolt clip liners, and insert pads help reduce inter-leaf friction and improve pressure distribution. Plus, they come in raised heights from 30mm up to 80mm for that little bit more lift where it counts.

Why Upgrade Your 4x4 Suspension?

When you’re heading off-road, chasing more ground clearance is a no-brainer. Raised suspension means fewer scrapes, better tyre contact, and a smoother, more capable ride over rocks, ruts, and mud.

You’ll also want longer suspension travel for a bit more suspension flex, to keep your tyres from lifting.

Carrying extra weight? Bullbars, canopies, and other cool accessories all add. Swap out your factory-fitted springs with heavier-duty ones to keep your setup safe and stable.

Thinking of a big trip, maybe the big lap? You should consider upgrading both your suspension and tyres at the same time. That way, everything will work in harmony, and you’ll have more confidence to take on whatever the track throws at you.
