Our friendly team gives your tyres a proper once-over, including:
Tyre wear and tread depth
Making sure you’ve got more than enough grip for safe braking and cornering. We’ll measure tread at different points across the tyre to make sure you’re above the legal 1.5mm minimum tread depth. Uneven wear can point to issues with alignment or tyre pressure.
Tyre pressure check
The right pressure saves fuel and helps your tyres last longer. Under-inflated tyres are the number one cause of tyre failure. Over-inflated ones wear out the middle faster. We’ll help you get the pressure just right.
Visible Tyre Damage
We look for bulges, cuts, cracks, sidewall damage, uneven wear or anything that might be hiding a bigger problem. Any punctured or damaged tyre needs to be taken off the rim and checked properly – it’s the only safe way.
Wheel and rim condition
Spotting bends, buckles or anything affecting steering or comfort. Even a small issue can throw things out of whack, chew through tyres faster, and make your ride feel rougher than it should.
Tyre age
Older tyres can harden and crack, even if they look okay. Tyres naturally age over time, especially on trailers or cars that sit around. Anything older than five years is worth a closer look.
The right tyres – we check that all your tyres match and are the right fit for your car. If any tyres are wearing unevenly, it’s safest to replace them in pairs and fit them together on the front or rear. Mixing and matching side-to-side can mess with stability and even confuse your car’s safety systems, so we’ll point you in the right direction.
If we spot anything that needs attention, we’ll talk you through it clearly — no pressure, no jargon, no surprises.
