Legana Tyres & More is a tyre shop and car mechanic near Launceston, 12 kilometres up the West Tamar Hwy. We’re on the corner of  Freshwater Point Rd, opposite the Legana Tavern. We don’t rush our work. Whether we’re performing a log book car service or fitting new car tyres we perform high quality work and take the utmost care with customers cars.

We’re a preferred Yokohama tyre dealer and always have a Buy 3 Get 1 Free special. We stock a range of quality tyres for cars, SUVs, 4x4s, Utes and light trucks. To ensure long lasting tyres we recommend having a wheel alignment using our precision crucifix-style 4 wheel alignment machine.

If you want to personalize or improve the look of your car or 4x4 we can help you choose a new set of alloy wheels from popular wheel brands. If you want to fit a larger tyre size we can help with the correct wheel size and offset and the right tyre to suit.

4WD All Terrain & Mud Terrain Tyres.

If you want to give your 4WD more off-road capability, get rid of the standard highway terrain tyres and upgrade to All Terrain or Mud Terrain tyres. We can recommend AT Tyres which still perform well on wet roads and run quietly yet give your 4x4 a big boost in off-road capability. Or we can recommend mud tyres for Tasmania’s tough tracks.

Car Service & Oil Change.

Our qualified car mechanic can perform a log book service, simple oil change or mechanical repairs. We do brake replacements, shock absorber replacements and suspension upgrades, like lift kits for 4x4s or lowered suspension for sports cars.

Car Battery Testing & Replacement.

If your car is becoming difficult to start, the battery might be on the way out. Come in and we can test it. If you need a new battery we stock a range of SuperCharge maintenance free and stop start batteries.

When you come in to have work done on your car, you don’t have to hang around our waiting room. Get some groceries from Woolworths or have lunch at the Legana Tavern. Both are just across the road.
